It’s in the way he makes her light up. The way she laughs when he flashes his goofy smile knowing full well how silly it really looks. It was clear the moment I met Megan and Brian that they compliment each other in more ways then a little girl could dream of.
When Megan first reached out to me to shoot their wedding, all I could think about was how excited I was to shoot in a new area. They recently closed on their first home in Weston, CT. A little log cabin tucked away in I’m convinced, one of the most beautiful areas in the country. It’s a special place. Yes, it’s beautiful, but it’s also beautifully special. So, clearly we did everything we could to document as many photos as possible at their new home!
The below verbiage was taken off their wedding website where Brian tells the story of how him and Megan met. There was just no way I could leave it out… no really, it’s that funny!
It’s true… We met at Viva Zapata’s Mexican Bar and Grill, one of the most romantic spots on the entire Eastern Seaboard. Peanut shells adorn the floor and a sign on the wall reads “Beware of pickpockets and loose women”. It’s the kind of place you expect to run into the girl of your dreams. And that’s exactly what happened to me.
It was September 2004, a Thursday night, I’m sure. Jordan and I were out on the town to unwind after a long, half-day at work. I remember we were standing on the patio. I remember Ryan O’Neil’s voice filled the night air with song. I remember, most, the moment when Megan came walking up to us and said hello. I fell in love when I saw her, and she smiled… because she knew.
Megan & Brians wedding will take place in Quechee, VT and I am so honored to be able to document their big day!
